We collect personal information about you when you buy a ticket to our event, contact us for any reason and by any medium, sign up to our mailing list, share information via our social media functions. We collect this personal information from you either directly, such as when you by a ticket, contact us via our website or indirectly, such as your browsing activity while on our website (see ‘Cookies’ below). We collect data that is specifically and voluntarily provided by a visitor to our Website or ticket site.
If we offer a matching service as part of one of our events, by buying a ticket you are consenting to Pears sharing your first name and mobile number to any matches (a match is when both parties circle each other on their crush sheet). Your data will never be shared to anyone other than potential matches and for no other purpose. Your data will be stored securely and deleted after the matching process is complete. Pears is not responsible for the actions of any participants after the event.
Such information includes:
your name, email and contact details;
who you want to date;
e.g. I am female/nb looking to date male/nb
details of any feedback you give us by phone, email, post or via social media;
Personal information about other individuals
If you give us information on behalf of someone else, you confirm that the other person has appointed you to act on his/her behalf and has agreed that you can:
give consent on his/her behalf to the processing of his/her data;
receive on his/her behalf any data protection notices;
give consent to any transfer of his/her data.
Information that will be collected automatically
Cookies: We may monitor your use of the Website through the use of cookies and similar tracking devices. For example, we may monitor how many times you use the Website, which pages you go to and traffic data. This information helps to build a profile of users to the Website. To match you with other pears that you have selected at an event, to match, you and the other pear will have selected each other. Your contact details (mobile number) will only be shared with the individual you have matched with.
Your data will never be shared outside the pears team.
Our Website does not collect or compile personally identifying information for dissemination or sale to outside parties for consumer marketing purposes, or host mailings on behalf of third parties.
